About SH. khalifa Al Teneiji

Khalifa Musabah Ahmed Altuneiji, an Emirati reciter and Civil Engineer, from Al Dhaid City in Sharjah. Sh. Khalifa learnt the Holy Quran by heart when he was 13-years old, and that was in Al-Dhaid Quran Centre. He was honored with Ijaza (official classic license to teach The Holy Quran) by his Sheikh Master Ghoulam Hussein as far as the Quran narration according to (Hafs from Assim) approach.

After that, Sh. Khalifa Altuneiji continued his study in Holy City of Al Madina in which he acquired knowledge from his Sheikh Master Ibrahim Al Akhdar, the Sheikh of Quran reciters in Grand Prophet Mosque (Almasjid Alnabawai) who granted him Ijaza to recite and teach according to (Hafs from Assim) approach.He also learnt the approach of Nafii with its two narrators Warsh and Qaloon, taught by Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Issam Al Qodat, Who granted him another Ijaza to recite and teach Nafii Approach of recitation.

In addition, Sh. Khalifa acquired the recitation approach of Abi Amro El Basri with his two narrators Addouri and Assawissi, taught by Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Issam Al Qodat and acquired his third Ijaza accordingly.

Professional Experience

• BA in Civil Engineering from the University of UAE in 2001.
• Former director of Sharjah Directorate of Public Works.
• Currently, Sh. Khalifa Atluneiji is serving as chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Housing, in addition to his position as a member of the executive council in the government of Sharjah.
• Moreover, Sh. Khalifa Altuneiji is a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Quran and Sunnah Foundation in Sharjah, which comprises approximately ten thousand students.

Particiation & Contests

• Participated as a contestant in many local as well as international competitions and got advanced positions.
• Participated in the judging committees of local as well international competitions, including:
• Dubai local competition for the Holy Quran from its second edition till the twelfth edition, presided the judging committee in the latest one.
• The local competition of the prize of Sheikh Rashid Ben Ahmed El Moualla In its first and second edition.
• Sharjah competition for Holy Quran for the years from 1427 to 1431
• King Abd Al Aziz International competition in The Holy City of Makkah.
• Dubai International competition for Holly Quran – Ninth edition of the year 1427
